…For Such A Time As This

April 21, 2022

There are times in our lives when we question our purpose, our mission. Every memory, every road taken, right and wrong turn prepare us for a certain time in our life when we just know.

Esther’s story is an interesting one. A story of such time. Esther was a young Jewish woman, in Persia, who by chance married the King and then went on rescuing Jewish people from persecution by the king’s highest official that hated them. Love and honor won that day. As the verse says, perhaps she was born exactly for that day.

Sometimes there is that moment in time when you know this was the moment you were meant for, the one to live for. When that day comes, all of us will have to look in the mirror and decide if we will answer the call. When destiny calls, you can’t hide. You can just answer the call or not. If you answer it, you should know that there are others like you ready to do the same.

It seems, I was faced with such a day. I actually know the exact date, where I was and the decision I made...Come and join me. As Paulo Coelho eloquently said, my fate was sealed that day.

“I can control my destiny, but not my fate. Destiny means there are opportunities to turn right or left, but fate is a one-way street. I believe we all have the choice as to whether we fulfil our destiny, but our fate is sealed.” Paulo Coelho
