Magic Number
June 2, 2022
I hear this argument a lot, it’s only a few, there are millions out there that are fine, they were older, younger, not well, it just happened…
I’m here to ask once and for all, what is the number we will accept. How many children, young athletes, in peak of their health sports professionals, moms and dads, grandparents, uncles and aunts, cousins etc, will we say is enough.
Until recently I have never heard of sudden adult death syndrome and the reason in my opinion, is because it’s made up to fit the times we live in. Now it is everywhere. Sudden death. Sudden collapse. Sudden. Unexpected. Unexplained.
I ask again how many are we comfortable with? Is it 1 or 10 or 100 or 1000 or 10 000 or 100 000 or 1 000 000…is it a million or is it 576?
For a reference, when rotavirus vaccine was introduced in 1997 it took 15 cases of intussusception for the product to be taken of the market.
What is the magic number for our world to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! NO MORE!
I ask this with all sincerity and hope for those who are reading this to understand that there is NO magic number. Each and every life is precious and a gift. Please start asking yourself these and other questions and be honest with yourself, if it is your child, your mom, dad or other important people in your life, you know the answer. There is no magic number. Each and every life counts.
Life is a celebration of love, miracle of hope and journey of character. Live each day fully, with heart and passion and do not let others tell you that what is happening it’s ok. It is not and for me, this is my hill. Join me…
